GWADAR, PAKISTAN — Shah Irfan Ahmed Gharsheen, a distinguished Grade 20 officer of the Balochistan Civil Service, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA).

The Prime Minister officially approved his appointment for a two-year term, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. An official notification confirming the appointment was issued by the Establishment Division on Friday.

Mr. Gharsheen brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held several key positions within the Balochistan government.

His previous assignments include serving as the Rakhshan division commissioner, director general of public relations, and information secretary.

His extensive background in public service is expected to be a valuable asset in overseeing the strategic development and operations of Gwadar Port.
